Silvia Tieri is a political scientist and ethnographer in training focusing on contemporary South Asia. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at King’s India Institute (King’s College London) – South Asian Studies Programme (National University of Singapore). Earlier she was a Research Analyst at the Institute of South Asian Studies (ISAS) in Singapore. She holds a BA in Political Science and International Relations and a MA in International Studies from the University of Pisa, Italy, and a MA by Research in South Asian Studies from the National University of Singapore. Her academic interests include identity politics, language politics, nationalism, and international relations.
